Sonography/ ultrasound in Frankfurt

Ultrasound is a means to examine tissue under the body surface. Especially soft tissue, but also most abdominal organs can be examined through ultrasound.

In its normal state, tissue is hardly visible in an ultrasound. Enlarged through illness, however, it can be seen clearly (e.g. appendicitis or deposits in the urinary tract).

Through colour-coded duplex ultrasound, blood flow in the vessels and blood circulation in the tissue can be assessed.

The following tissues can generally be seen in an ultrasound:

  • inner organs (e.g. liver, gallbladder, bile duct, spleen, pancreas, intestines (partly), kidneys, bladder, urinary tract (in the case of a disorder)
  • Thyroid and salivary glands
  • Skin; partly superficial muscle tissue and bones
  • Lymph nodes
  • Vessels (e.g. carotid artery, abdominal artery, partly large vessels of the organs)

I use an ultra-modern ultrasound unit. Due to many years of experience in sonography/ ultrasound, I can provide you with an effective evaluation of the structures mentioned above.
